Where would we be without electrical sockets these days eh?
Sometimes you will need to change a socket if the switch is not functioning, there has been some overheating or if it is just very old.
In this video, I'll show you how to change a double socket outlet safely.
lighting ceiling rose
It's something that has frustrated DIYers over the country for the last 40 years. The ceiling rose lighting pendant.
When you open one up to put your new light up you've just bought from IKEA, a tonne of wires fall out and you start to cry.
I'll explain how the wiring works in a ceiling rose and what to do. Wipe those tears away.
changing a
light switch
Unless your lights come on with a clap of your hands, you probably have light switches to do the job.
Now and again these need changing, or you may want to put a metal switch in or even a dimmer for those romantic nights.

I'll talk about all three in this video.
restting an
rcd fuseboard
If you have an RCD within your fuseboard, firstly that's great news. They save lives and stop fires.
But, sometimes when you get a fault, the RCD will trip the entire board and it can be hard to reset it.
In this video, I'll show you how to do it and why it's probably tripped.
